The Sydney Achievers International Scholarships are for new international students who wants to study in University of Sydney in Australia.  These prestigious scholarships are aimed at attracting high achieving, academically meritorious, international students to enjoy the ‘Sydney experience’ at one of the finest institutions of higher education in the world.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

For the undergraduate scholarships, each scholarship has a value of  AUD$10,000 each per annum, available for the CRICOS registered duration of a recipient’s program of study, for any Undergraduate program offered at the University of Sydney (subject to the recipient maintaining satisfactory academic progress each year).

For the postgraduate scholarships, each  scholarship has a value of AUD$10,000 each per annum (ie, $15,000 in total for a 1.5 year program, $20,000 in total for a 2 year program), available for the CRICOS registered duration of a recipient’s program of study, for any Postgraduate Coursework program offered at the University of Sydney (subject to the recipient maintaining satisfactory academic progress each year).

Living allowance is NOT included in the scholarships.

Eligibility:

Undergraduate Scholarships

Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification or an international senior secondary qualification accepted by the University with outstanding results, as deemed by the University of Sydney. Students completing Foundation Studies Programs offered by Australian or New Zealand universities are eligible. Students who have already commenced/completed tertiary studies, or students transferring with credit exemptions and/or advanced standing, are not eligible.

Postgraduate Scholarships

Applicants must have completed the equivalent of an Australian Bachelor degree qualification with outstanding results based on the Australian grading system, as deemed by the University of Sydney.   Students who have already commenced/completed postgraduate studies, or students transferring with credit exemptions and/or advanced standing, are not eligible.

Application instructions:

To be considered for the Sydney Achievers International Scholarship, a candidate must receive a Firm Offer of Admission. Applicants receiving a Firm Offer of Admission for Semester 2, 2014 will be invited to lodge an Expression of Interest from May 2014. The closing date for the EOI form is 13 June 2014 (except for CET and Foundation Programmes applicants).

IMD Scholarships for International Students
IMD has a number of scholarship programs for excellent international students worldwide, women in particular, and students from developing countries. The scholarships range from CHF 10,000 to CHF 30,000.

INSEAD Scholarships for International Students
INSEAD Scholarships are limited in number and there is significant competition for each award. The scholarships are comprised of need-based scholarships (based on financial need) and  non-need based (based on either merit, nationality, gender, professional background, leadership abilities, field of previous studies etc.). The scholarships range from €10,000 to €25,000.

SDA Bocconi International Scholarships
There are several full and partial tuition waivers (50%-100%) offered by the School, as well as by companies, consultancy firms and other organizations for students from Europe, outside Europe, Africa, Mediterranean, Asia, and North and South America.

London Business School Scholarships

ESADE Business School Scholarships

HEC Paris Scholarships

Kofi Annan MBA Scholarships at ESMT
The Kofi Annan Business School Foundation provides fellowships for talented and motivated students from developing countries that allow them to obtain a university degree in Europe at one of the academic partners of the Kofi Annan Business School Foundation including ESMT.  A Kofi Annan Fellowship at ESMT has a value of €58,000 and covers full tuition fees and course materials in addition to a living stipend of €1,000 per month for the duration of the MBA program.

HEC-Eiffel Scholarships in MBA for Developing Countries
The HEC MBA Program applies to Eiffel scholarships on behalf of admitted eligible students who are from emerging countries especially in Asia and Latin America. The Eiffel Scholarship provides successful participants with a monthly allowance of Euro 1,181, and covers additional expenses including travel, health insurance and cultural activities. Tuition fees are not covered by the scholarship.

MBA Fellowships in International Organizations Programme at United Nations University
The University of Geneva and UNU share a strong commitment to capacity development, especially aiming to enhance the capacity of individuals and institutions in developing countries.  Therefore, in line with UNU’s capacity-development focus, the University of Geneva will offer UNU fellowships for the International Organizations MBA Programme to Mid-career professionals from developing countries.  The UNU fellowship covers full tuition, but Fellows need to fund their living expenses in Geneva throughout the academic part of the programme.

IMD Jim Ellert MBA Sholarships
Jim Ellert MBA Scholarships are intended to attract students from Africa, Central & Eastern Europe (including all former Soviet republics), and the South-Eastern Asian Peninsula (Thailand, Myramar, Cambodia, Loas, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia) who wish to pursue an MBA Degree at IMD.  The scholarship is  valued at CHF 20,000.

The Mo Ibrahim Foundation Scholarship for Africa supports outstanding students on the full-time MBA programme at London Business School. The scholarship is awarded to an exceptional African MBA candidate with financial need.  The scholarships cover full fees.

Alma Graduate School Africa Scholarship Program
Alma Graduate School (the business school of the University of Bologna) and the Foundation for World Wide Cooperation are pleased to announce the “Africa Scholarship Program” for the academic year 2014-2015. Canon Collins Distance Learning MBA Scholarships at Edinburgh Business School
Canon Collins Trust selects scholars from Citizens/residents of sub-Saharan African country on behalf of Edinburgh Business School for its distance learning MBA programme. Up to 50 are offered.  This scholarship covers the cost of all tuition, learning materials and examination fees.

Afren One Planet MBA Scholarship
The Afren One Planet MBA Scholarship are intended to students from Cote D’Ivoire, Ghana, Iraqi Kurdistan, Kenya, Madagascar, Nigeria, Seychelles, Tanzania who are pursuing the One Planet MBA Programme at the Exeter University Business School. The scholarship is valued at £35,000, and covers the full One Planet MBA tuition fee as well as a contribution towards accommodation and living expenses.

MBA Scholarships specifically for Women:

Forte Fellows Program
The Forté Fellows Program was created with the intention of increasing the number of women applying to and enrolling in MBA programs by offering fellowships to women pursuing a full-time, part-time or executive MBA education at selected business schools worldwide. Students of all nationalities are eligible for consideration.  The scholarship value varies but is around  €15,000.

INSEAD Alumni Fund (IAF) Women’s Scholarship
The IAF Women’s Scholarships support INSEAD’s commitment to bring outstanding women professionals to the MBA Programme and to increase representation of women in leadership positions in the business community.  The scholarship value is up to € 15,000.

Nestle MBA Scholarships for Women at IMD
The Nestlé Scholarship for Women was first awarded in 1997 and was initiated by a group of IMD MBA participants who wanted to encourage women to take the MBA.  The scholarship value is CHF 25,000.

Foundation Rainbow Bridge MBA Scholarships at HEC Paris
The Fondation Rainbow Bridge Foundation aims to enable young women recipients to enrich their academic background by obtaining an HEC MBA.  The target group are women from Asian or African countries affected by natural disasters, drought or famine. The scholarship value is € 20,000 each.

ESADE Women of the World Scholarship
Supporting female MBA candidates with significant international exposure, these scholarships are awarded to women with unique intercultural perspectives.  This scholarship is available to female candidates of all nationalities and backgrounds.  The scholarship can cover up to 40% of the ESADE Full Time MBA tuition fees.

London Business School Women’s Scholarships
The aim of the London Business School Women’s scholarship is to support female candidates of merit and to help increase the number of women joining the London Business School.  The scholarship cover first year fees.  There are a few other awards offered by the School for women and those awards range from £20,000-£30,000.

SDA Bocconi Scholarships for Women
Partial scholarships are offered to outstanding women applicants of SDA Bocconi’s full time MBA Programme. There is one partial tuition fee waiver worth up to 70% and another worth up to 50%.

ESMT Women’s Scholarships

DAAD Masters Scholarships in Public Policy and Good Governance

The Programme offers very good graduates with a first university degree the chance to obtain a Master’s degree in disciplines that are of special relevance for the social, political and economic development of their home country. The scholarships are awarded for selected Master courses at German institutions of higher education. The successful candidates will study from September/October 2015 on one of the selected Master courses listed below.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

DAAD scholarship holders are exempt from tuition fees. DAAD pays a monthly scholarship rate of currently 750 €. The scholarship also includes contributions to health insurance in Germany. In addition, DAAD grants an appropriate travel allowance as well as a study and research subsidy and in applicable cases rent subsidies and/or family allowances.

Eligibility:

The scholarship targets very well qualified graduates with a first university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) who in the future want to actively contribute to the social and economic development of their home countries. The scholarships are offered both for young graduates without professional experience and for mid-career professionals.

The main DAAD criteria for selection are: the study results, knowledge of English (and German), political and social engagement, a convincing description of the subject-related and personal motivation for the study project in Germany and the expected benefit after the return to the home country.

The university degree should have been obtained during the six years before the application for the scholarship. Applicants cannot be considered if they have been in Germany for more than 15 months at the time of application.

All Master courses have further additional requirements that must be fulfilled by the applicants at any case.

Application instructions:

Please submit your applications for the Master courses and for the DAAD scholarship solely to the Master courses you have selected at the respective university (not to DAAD). Please fill in the DAAD application form by indicating your desired priority of study courses. Deadline varies but is around July to August 2014 depending on the course; please check the deadlines on the homepages of the selected Master courses.

Top 10 Scholarships in Italy for International Students

In Italy, all international students are entitled to the same financial assistance services as Italian students based on same requisites of financial means and/or merit. There are government scholarships at the national and regional level to which international students can apply for. Moreover, some Italian Universities offer scholarship programs for international students.

Italian Government Scholarships for Foreign Students
The Italian Government awards scholarships for studying in Italy both to foreign citizens and Italian citizens resident abroad (IRE).  Scholarships can be awarded only for study/ research projects at institutions within the Italian public education and research system. The scholarships are available for University degree courses (Undergraduate and Postgraduate), Advanced vocational training, art and music courses, Masters Degree courses (Levels I or II), Ph.D. Courses, Specialisation Schools, Research under academic supervision, Courses on Italian language and culture or courses for teachers of Italian as second language.  It is only possible to apply for three, six, or nine month scholarships.

University of Pavia International Scholarships for Developing Country Students
The University of Pavia (UNIPV), in order to promote international cooperation with the Developing Countries, offers scholarships for selected Masters Studies at the University of Pavia or at the Institute for Advanced Study of Pavia (IUSS).  The scholarships are targeted to students coming from a developing country classified as low-income economy or as a lower-middle-income economy by the World Bank.  Each scholarship will cover also the expenses for the Visa and for the travel to Italy and back (economy class).

The scholarships are awarded based on their family’s economic condition.  The scholarship includes full tuition waiver worth up to €11,500 per year for Bachelor’s Program and up to €12,000 per year for Master’s of Science Program.

Politecnico de Milano Merit-Based Scholarships for International Students
Every year, Politecnico di Milano offers a number of merit based scholarships to the most talented international candidates admitted to a Master of Science programme starting during the 1st semester of the academic year. Students obtaining a scholarship will have to pay only an administrative fee of about €200.  Scholarships of €5.000 to €10.000 per year could be awarded on top of tuition fee waiver depending on previous academic qualifications.

Università Cattolica Scholarships for English Taught Masters Program
Scholarships are being offered to international students pursuing eligible English-taught Masters Programmes offered at Universita Cattolica. All scholarships are assigned on a merit basis and will be mostly given to students who apply by the priority deadline.  The scholarships range from €1,750-€7,500 in value.

University of Padova Scholarships for All Degree Courses
The University of Padova can handle regional funds to finance low-income students, both Italian and foreign, who have a good academic record and pursuing a degree at the University.  The scholarship consists partly of money and partly of services, such as accommodation and meals at the University canteens.

The University of Padova also offers 15 PhD Research Fellowships for foreign students for AY 2014-2015 to attend Doctoral Courses. During the 3-year doctorate programme, successful candidates are entitled to full board and lodging.

Edinburgh Global Research Scholarships (UK)

The awards do not cover maintenance expenses.

Leeds International Research Scholarships (UK)
Leeds International Research Scholarships are available for high quality international students who will be commencing PhD research study in any Faculty at the University of Leeds.   The scholarship covers full international fees and maintenance grant.

Nottingham Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship for Research Excellence (UK)
The University of Nottingham offers scholarships for international students who wish to pursue a PhD or MPhil research programme at the University.  The scholarship cover full tuition fees.

Sussex Chancellor’s International Research Scholarships (UK)
The University of Sussex is seeking to attract 10 international research scholars for full-time doctoral studies.  The scholarship will cover international fees and provide a stipend which will match that provided for UK doctoral students by the UK Research Council.

Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarships (UK)
The Warwick Graduate School awards around 25 Chancellor’s International Scholarships to the most outstanding international PhD applicants yearly. The scholarships are open to students of any nationality and to any discipline offered at Warwick.  The scholarships include the full payment of overseas tuition fee and a maintenance stipend.

University of Otago Doctoral Scholarships (New Zealand)
The University of Otago Doctoral Scholarship provides funding to support doctoral students studying at the University of Otago.  The scholarships include NZ$25,000 stipend per annum plus domestic tuition fees waiver (excludes student services fee and insurance).

IRO Doctoral Scholarship Programme at K.U. Leuven (Belgium)
As one of its contributions to development co-operation, K.U.Leuven offers IRO (Interfaculty Council for Development Co-operation) scholarships to deserving students from developing countries to do their PhD in the largest university in Flanders, Belgium.  Each academic year, IRO scholarships are granted for doctoral or pre-doctoral programmes.  The scholarships include a monthly allowance of €1,415, tuition fee, health insurance, accident insurance, one-time installation allowance, and return tickets.

Fulbright Foreign Student Program (USA)
The Fulbright Foreign Student Program are prestigious scholarships for international students who wants to pursue a Master’s or PhD degree in the United States.  The Fulbright program provides funding for the duration of the study. Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme (France)
The French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs launched the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme to attract elite overseas students on PhD courses offered by French Universities. Eiffel scholarship-holders on PhD courses receive a monthly allowance of €1,400, some travel costs, health insurance and cultural activities. The Eiffel programme does not cover tuition fees.

Netherlands PhD Fellowship Program (Netherlands)
The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) are demand-driven fellowship programmes designed to promote capacity building within organizations in developing countries by providing training and education to their mid-career staff members. The scholarships allow candidates to pursue PhD studies at Dutch Universities or academic institutions.  The PhD fellowships awards an amount as a contribution towards the costs of living, visa, travel and insurance costs, etc.

Quota Scholarship Scheme (Norway)
The Quota Scheme awards scholarships for international students from certain developing countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and Palestinian Authorities.The scheme normally includes courses at the PhD level.  Each student receives the same amount of money as a Norwegian student would do in an equivalent educational programme. About 30 per cent of the amount is given as a grant and 70 per cent as a loan. However, the loan portion is waived when the student returns to his/her home country after completing the course of study.

CIMO Doctoral Fellowships (Finland)
The CIMO Fellowships programme is open to young Doctoral level students and researchers from all countries and from all academic fields who wish to pursue their Doctorate (or Double Doctorate) at a Finnish university. The scholarship period may vary from 3 to 12 months and includes a monthly allowance.

New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships (New Zealand)
The NZIDRS provides  for international students to undertake PhD study in any discipline at a New Zealand university.  The NZIDRS covers University tuition fees and associated student levies for 3 years, an annual living stipend, and medical insurance.

Japanese Government Scholarships for International Research Students (Japan)
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) offers scholarships to international students who wish to study in graduate courses at Japanese universities either as (non-degree) student or regular student for a degree under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program. The scholarship includes a monthly allowance, travel costs to and from Japan, and school fees.
