University-wide scholarships, as its name implies, are scholarships which are generally available for any subject, course, or field of study offered at the University*. Although there might be some exceptions (e.g. Medicine, Law, MBA, etc.), these scholarships generally cover all or most courses offered by the University. Knowing this type of scholarship could help you find more scholarship options in different Universities around the world.

» Eligible courses might change at any time. Scholarship conditions might change at any time. The scholarships may cover all courses at one point but it can exclude some courses at another point in time. Therefore, you must confirm with the University if the course you are interested in is indeed covered by the scholarship at the moment your are intending to apply.
» There will be some exceptions to the courses covered by the scholarships. Some scholarships excludes courses such as medicine/clinical studies, MBA studies, law studies or other subjects as specified by the University.

University of British Columbia International Leader of Tomorrow Award (Canada)
University of British Columbia (UBC) offers bachelors scholarships for talented incoming international students from around the world through the International Leader of Tomorrow (ILOT) program. Â The value of awards is commensurate with demonstrated financial need, up to full tuition costs for the relevant program of study, and living expenses.
American University Emerging Global Leader Scholarship (USA)
The AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship is targeted to high-achieving international students who are dedicated to positive civic and social change and who wish to pursue a Bachelorâs Degree offered at the American University. It is intended for students who will be to returning home to improve under-resourced, underserved communities in his/her home country.  The AU EGL scholarship covers full tuition and room & board.
Reach Oxford Scholarships (UK)
A number of Reach Oxford scholarships (formerly Oxford Student Scholarships) are offered to students from low-income countries who, for political or financial reasons, or because suitable educational facilities do not exist, cannot study for a degree in their own countries.  The scholarships are towards undergraduate degree in all subjects except medicine. The scholarship covers university fees and college fees, a grant for living expenses and one return air fare per year.
Sydney Achievers International Scholarships (Australia)
The Sydney Achievers International Scholarships are  aimed at attracting high achieving, academically meritorious, international students to pursue a Bachelorâs or Masters Degree (by coursework) Programme offered at University of Sydney. Each scholarship has a value of AUD$10,000 per annum.
Macquarie University International Scholarships (Australia)
Macquarie University International Scholarships (MUIS) are available across most courses (except Master of Business Administration, Master of Management, Master of Applied Finance, Master of Advanced Surgery, Master of Surgery, and Doctor of Physiotherapy) towards an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree offered at the University. The scholarship covers full international tuition fees.
La Trobe Academic Excellence Scholarships for International Students (Australia)
La Trobeâs Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES) are targeted towards high achieving international students from all countries across all of La Trobeâs undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs. Â The scholarships are non-renewable tuition fee awards of A$10,000-$20,000 paid across a maximum period of two semesters.
Monash University International Merit Scholarships (Australia)
Monash University is offering a number of scholarship programs including the Monash University International Merit Scholarships for outstanding international students who wish to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate degree offered at Monash University.  The scholarship has a total average value of up to $50,000 (based on a 5 year degree).
Bologna University Study Grants for International Students (Italy)
The University of Bologna offers study grants to deserving international students who wish to register for First Cycle (Bachelors), Second Cycle (Masters) or Single Cycle Degree Programmes offered at the University of Bologna.  Each study grant is awarded for one academic year and amounts to a total of â¬11,059, gross of all charges for the beneficiaryâs account.
Sheffield Hallam University Transform Together Scholarships for Non-EU Students (UK)
Transform Together Scholarships are open to students from any non-EU country applying to any full time postgraduate or undergraduate programme offered at Sheffield Hallam University. Â The scholarships include a one-year full tuition fee waiver for full-time taught postgraduate courses and 50% tuition fee discount for each year of an undergraduate course.
Lund University Global Scholarship Programme (Sweden)
The Lund University Global Scholarship Programme is targeted at top academic students who are citizens of countries from outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland) and who wish to pursue Bachelorâs or Masters Degree studies offered at the University. Scholarships may cover 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of the tuition fee.
ISH-London Met Scholarship Scheme (UK)
London Metropolitan University and International Students House (ISH) offers a joint scholarship programme for international students from selected countries who wish to pursue one of the Masterâs Degree Programme offered at the University.  The scholarship programme offers a full tuition fee scholarship and includes one yearâs free accommodation at International Students House.
University of West England Global Student Scholarships (UK)
The University of the West of England, Bristol offers the Global Student Scholarship for international students who are pursuing a one-year postgraduate programme offered at the University.  The recipient will be required to undertake an internship working within the Global Student Support Office.  The scholarships cover the full tuition fee.
University of Westminster International Scholarships (UK)
University of Westminster awards scholarships to eligible students from any developing country who wish to pursue a full-time Masters degree offered at the University of Westminster. The scholarship awards full tuition fee waivers, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.
University of Bradford Scholarships for Developing Countries in Crisis (UK)
The University of Bradford Countries in Crisis Scholarships are intended to aid international students in financial hardship due to the fact that they are domiciled in a country that is in crisis as a result of the political situation, war, natural disaster etc. The scholarship is available for students on full time Masterâs programmes (not MBA) based at the University of Bradford. Each scholarship is worth approximately £20,000 which includes full tuition fees and accommodation plus £2000 per annum living costs.
Leiden University Excellence Scholarships (Netherlands)
The Leiden University Excellence Scholarship Programme (LExS) is open to outstanding non-EU/EEA students pursuing any MA, MSc and LL.M programmes offered at Leiden University. (Note: a number of programmes have a start date in September only).  Depending on the studentâs merit, the scholarship covers 25-100% of the tuition fees. The highest award covers the tuition fee minus the home fee* and an allowance of â¬10,000 for living costs.
University of Maastricht High Potential Scholarships (Netherlands)
Maastricht University (UM) offers the UM High Potential Scholarships to talented students from outside the EEA to follow a Masterâs programme offered at Maastricht University. Â These scholarships are fully-funded scholarships which includes tuition fee, living expenses, visa costs, and insurance.
Erik Bleumink Scholarships for Developing Countries at University of Groningen (Netherlands)
The Erik Bleumink Fund Scholarships are usually awarded for any 1 year or 2 years Masterâs degree programme offered at the University of Groningen. Â The grant covers the tuition fees plus the costs of international travel, subsistence, books, and health insurance.
Uppsala University IPK Scholarships (Sweden)
The Uppsala University offers scholarships to first year applicants to Uppsala Universityâs Master Programmes through the Uppsala University IPK scholarships. The Uppsala University scholarships are available for students who are required to pay tuition fees.  The scholarships cover the tuition fee and does not include living expenses.
Umea University Scholarships (Sweden)
UmeÃ¥ University welcomes talented and high-achieving students from outside the EU/EEA to apply for Umea University Scholarship which is a general scholarship programme open for students admitted to one of the Masterâs Programmes offered at the University.  Selected candidates receive a full or partial reduction of the tuition fee.
ETH Excellence Scholarships (Switzerland)
The ETH Excellence and Master Scholarship programmes are open to excellent students both from the ETH and from other universities (national and international) wishing to pursue their Masterâs degree at ETH Zurich. The scholarships includes tuition fee waiver and stipend for living and study expenses.
University of Lausanne Masterâs Grants for Foreign Students (Switzerland)
Through the UNIL Masterâs Grants, the University of Lausanne in Switzerland offers scholarships to international students who wishes to pursue a Masters Degree at the University (except the Master of Medicine, Master of Arts in Public Management and Policy, Master of Arts in Sciences and Practices of Education).  The amount of the grant is CHF 1,600.- per month from 15 September to 15 July, for a duration not exceeding the regulation minimum period of the programme.
University of Bern Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Students (Switzerland)
The University of Bern Masters Grants are for international students who wish to do any Masterâs programme offered at the University (with the exception of Biomedical Science).  The grant consists of CHF1,600 per month for the duration of the Masterâs programme.
Gates Cambridge Scholarships (UK)
Gates Cambridge Scholarships are full-cost awards for graduate study and research in any subject available at the University of Cambridge. The scholarships are open to all international students from all over the world. A Gates Cambridge Scholarship covers the full cost of studying at Cambridge namely: university fees, maintenance allowances, airfare, and some dependentâs allowance.
Clarendon Scholarships at University of Oxford (UK)
The Clarendon Fund is the University of Oxfordâs flagship scholarship scheme. The awards are sponsored by Oxford University Press and are only available at the University of Oxford for all full-time and part-time graduate degrees.  This encompasses all full-time and part-time Masterâs courses (MSt, MSc, BCL/MJur, MBA, MFE, MPhil, BPhil, MSc by Research, MTh, MPP) and all DPhil programmes. All Clarendon Scholarships cover tuition and college fees in full and a generous grant for living expenses.

Melbourne International Research Scholarships (Australia)
The Melbourne International Research Scholarships (MIRS) is awarded to international students wishing to undertake graduate research degree studies at the University of Melbourne. MIRSs are funded by the University with each faculty having a limited number to award.  Benefits provided by the MIRS include living allowance, relocation grant, thesis allowance and paid sick, maternity and parenting leave.
University of Sydney International Scholarships (Australia)
The University of Sydney invites candidates who are eligible to undertake a Postgraduate Research Degree or Masterâs by Research program at this University to apply for the University of Sydney International Research Scholarship (USydIS). Â The USydIS is open to all research disciplines; however participation in the USydIS program each semester is at the discretion of the Dean of each faculty. Â The USydIS will cover tuition fees and living allowance for up to three years.
Adelaide Scholarships International (Australia)
The University of Adelaide offers the  Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI) program to attract high quality international postgraduate students to areas of research strength in the University of Adelaide to support its research effort.  The scholarships are towards Masters degree by Research and three years for a Doctoral research degree offered at the University of Adelaide. The scholarships includes course tuition fees, annual living allowance, and health insurance.
Flinders International Postgraduate Scholarships (Australia)
Flinders International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (FIPRS) are awarded to  suitably qualified applicants to pursue a full-time research higher degree at Flinders University - up to three years for a Research Doctorate degree and up to two years for a Research Masters degree. The scholarship includes tuition fee, living allowance, and establishment allowance.
Cambridge International Scholarship Scheme (UK)
The University of Cambridge will offer, via the Cambridge Trusts, approximately 80 Cambridge International Scholarships to Overseas Students who embark on a research course leading to a PhD Degree offered at the University. Â Each award will underwrite the full cost of fees and maintenance for the duration of the course.
Leeds International Research Scholarships (UK)
Leeds International Research Scholarships are available for high quality international students who will be commencing PhD research study in any Faculty at the University of Leeds. Â The scholarship covers full international fees and maintenance grant.
Nottingham Vice-Chancellorâs International Scholarship for Research Excellence (UK)
The University of Nottingham offers scholarships for international students who wish to pursue a PhD or MPhil research programme at the University in any subject area. The scholarship cover full tuition fees.
Warwick Chancellorâs International Scholarships (UK)
The Warwick Graduate School awards around 25 Chancellorâs International Scholarships to the most outstanding international PhD applicants yearly. The scholarships are open to students of any nationality and to any discipline offered at Warwick. Â The scholarships include the full payment of overseas tuition fee and a maintenance stipend.
