Applications are invited for HDR scholarships available for international students to study at University of Wollongong. It includes two types of scholarship awards: University Postgraduate Awards and International Postgraduate TuitionÃÂ Awards. University Postgraduate Awards are available for three (3) years full-time for Doctoral candidates and two (2) years for Masters by Research. Doctoral candidates may apply for a 6 month extension for research related reasons. UOW will award an International Postgraduate Tuition Award (IPTA) forÃÂ up to 3.5 years for a PhD or 2 years for a MPhil to higher performing students in certain categories.ÃÂ The application deadline is 17th October 2014.

For University Postgraduate Awards-
-Bachelors degree with First Class Honours or equivalent results.
For International Postgraduate TuitionÃÂ Awards-
-To qualify for the IPTA award candidates must have completed a UOW Honours or coursework Masters degree at an onshore Australian campus and have achieved 1st class in their Honours degree or a WAM of 85 or greater in their coursework Masters degree.
Potential students must also have received a postgraduate research degree offer from UOW.
Scholarship Open for International Students:ÃÂ International (except Australian) students can apply for these HDR scholarships.
Scholarship Description: The University of Wollongong offers a wide range of research scholarships and awards to eligible International Higher Degree Research students. The UOW HDR scholarships are in the form of allowances to assist candidates in meeting their living costs while they undertake their research.ÃÂ They can include: Annual Stipends, Living Allowances and Tuition Fee costs. UPAs are tenable only at the University of Wollongong. They are available to graduates of Australian and overseas universities.
