Scholarship Description: This scholarship aims at financially supporting the possibility to intensively work on a Master thesis. The scholarship wishes to stimulate a Master thesis in the field of gender and/or diversity studies with BOKU relevant content. The scholarship is open for all students registered for a Master degree program at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. The Master thesis in German or English language must be commenced by February 1, 2015 at the latest and has to be graded positive within one year. The call for the Inge Dirmhirn Scholarship is open for Master theses in the field of gender and/or diversity topics with BOKU relevant content. Applications of interdisciplinary Master theses with creative approaches on the average of good research will be particularly welcomed.

-The first installment of ⬠1500,- is transferred to the scholarship holderâs account as soon as the Equal Opportunities Working Party BOKU gets the confirmation of the supervisor that the scholarship holder has commenced with his / her Master thesis. This letter of confirmation has to be submitted by the scholarship holder.
-The second (and last) installment of ⬠500,- is paid after the completion of the Master thesis as soon as the scholarship holder presents his / her approbation of the Master thesis and a report presenting the research results in such a way that allows for it being used for public relations (press release, of a maximum of 5,000 characters including spaces).
-There is no second installment if the Master thesis is not completed within one year
What does it cover? The Equal Opportunities Working Party BOKU awards the Inge Dirmhirn Scholarship amounting to ⬠2000,- (two thousand) for the promotion of a Master thesis at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences.
Selection Criteria:Â The jury first of all evaluates all applications on their completeness and possible formal deficiencies. Applications that do not confirm to the application criteria are excluded from the application process. Whether or not a further deadline in order to eliminate these deficiencies is set remains to the discretion of the jury. Applications that underwent this procedure take part in the scholarship procedure.
Notification: The decision to grant the Scholarship will be made by December 15, 2014 according to the guidelines of the Equal Opportunities Working Party. The recipient of the scholarship will be informed in writing. The scholarship will be awarded officially at an academic ceremony in 2015.
