Avondale College of Higher Education offers Mcdowell theology scholarships for the permanent residents of Australia or New Zealand. Scholarships are awarded for applicants enrolled in either an undergraduate or Graduate Diploma in Ministry and/or Theology. Up to four first-year scholarships valued at $1500 per year may be awarded for the remainder of the course. In addition, up to four scholarships valued at $1500 per year may be awarded to second-, third-, or fourth- year students for each year of the remainder of the course. One-off grants of up to $1500 may also be awarded. The application deadline is 26 February 2015.

Eligibility: Any Australian or New Zealand student applying for or enrolled in either an undergraduate or Graduate Diploma in Ministry and/or Theology. This scholarship may be held in conjunction with an Avondale scholarship. Applicant must be a baptised member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and actively involved in his/her local congregation. Applicants must be permanent residents of Australia or New Zealand.

Scholarship Description: Through the generosity of Dr Gordon McDowell, a former principal of Avondale, a trust fund has been established to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships to theology students at Avondale. Applicants must be able to demonstrate eligibility on the basis of need. The number and amount of scholarships may vary from year to year depending on the funds released from the trust fund. Up to four first-year scholarships valued at $1500 per year may be awarded for the remainder of the course. In addition, up to four scholarships valued at $1500 per year may be awarded to second-, third-, or fourth- year students for each year of the remainder of the course. One-off grants of up to $1500 may also be awarded.
